  • Hi @ibanez470

Sorry to hear you are having this problem.

As the first troubleshooting test, could you please try to install the jQuery-migrate helper plugin?

Some other plugins or themes that depend on the jQuery migrate can conflict with the custom sidebar plugin,

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/

Let us if this worked after enabling the plugin.
    Best Regards

Thank you for the quick response!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to solve the issue. The only visible thing I see know is a JQuery warning on top of each page. The custom sidebar is selected to that specific speaker but it is still reverting bak to the default sidebar.

Is there something else I can look into to resolve this issue?

    Thank you for your help!

    Actually,I just found this:

    https://womenveteranspeakers.com/wp-content/themes/emphires/includes/admin-script.js: jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated

I am not a programmer, so this is over my expertise.

    Hello @ibanez470,

This looks to be coming from your theme. Did you update your theme recently or make any change to the site like updating any or your plugins?

To understand if the theme is conflicting or not, can you install just the theme and the Custom Sidebar plugin and then check if things work smoothly? If that does not work, could you change to the default WordPress 2020,2019,2017 theme and check if that works.

As an additional step, could you also turn on the debug logging and then check if the debug log logs any errors on your live site? Here is how you can do it:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/debugging-wordpress-how-to-use-wp_debug/

Kindly note that before you make any change, make sure you backup your site.

If the debug log-returns any errors, could you send us the last 10 lines from the debug log? Also just to confirm, can you tell me which part of the sidebar does not work for you on the front end? I just see that the social icons under stay connected are not visible.

    Thank you,
    Prathamesh Palve

Hello, we haven’t heard back from you in a while so we will close down this ticket, if you have any followup questions feel free to reopen it.

    Cheers,
