    Hello,

great plugin. But I have a problem. When I try to add for ex. jpg, file doesn’t attach to comment. Could you help me? Maybe there is my theme or other plugins conflict?

    Thank you.

    Hello @lenek,

Please check if there is an attachment when editing a comment in the admin panel. Perhaps the conflict is with the output of the image on the site, but the file is attached.

    Thank you for answer.
When I am editing a comment in the admin panel there is an attachment option. But there is no file.
I can only add the file as an admin when I am editing a comment.

    Any suggestion?

I have not encountered such a problem, so I can only suggest to try to follow the steps from the standard guide to troubleshooting, and specifically the last two:

    • Deactivate all your plugins to ensure they’re not causing the problem. Reactivate the problematic one. If it works, there may be a conflict. Activate the others one by one to see if the problem returns, which may indicate the conflicting plugin.
    • If you’re using a custom WordPress Theme, try using one of the default WordPress Themes to see if your issue is Theme related. If it is, contact the Theme developer for assistance.

If you find the reason in an incompatible plugin, please send its name. I will try to figure out what is the cause of the problem.

    Hello Denis,

I am experiencing the same issue in a custom theme (which is quite old and was not created by me but I have to work with it).

Upon upload the image is not uploaded and the “Attachement” field remains empty in the comments section in the back end.

As soon as an attachment is added in the backend the image is displayed in the post, so it is just not being uploaded.

Which function is responsible for uploading and attaching the images to the post?

    Thanks and best regards
    Julian

    Hello @juliangk,

Please create a separate topic for a separate question next time. This makes navigation a lot easier. Thanks.

You can see the functions check_attachment and save_attachment.
