Plugin does not generate invoice number

Hi,
after updating Woocommerce and all the other plugins to the latest version, I’ve noticed that invoices are not being automatically numbered anymore.
Inside each order there’s now a button “set invoice number and date”.
This does not allow me to download the .xml invoices.I checked the plugin setup and the only thing I’ve noticed on the “SETUP” tab, is the wp_memory_limit, which is red colored.
Right now this parameter is set to 40M, while PHP to 256M.Could this be the reason of the issue? Or should I look somewhere else?
Please let me know if you need credential to enter the website.

You are referring to “.xml invoices”, is that a typo? Our plugin only generates PDF files!Automatic invoice generation is primarily triggered by attachment of the PDF file to the WooCommerce emails, see: When is the PDF invoice number assigned?. Can you check that you are attaching the invoice to the Processing or Completed emails (and that the orders you are checking have the status corresponding to the email you choose)?
If that doesn’t help, could you do the following two things:
- Check the
wpo-wcpdferror log, see: Where to find debug logs - Share your Status Report. You can find this under WooCommerce > Status > Get system report.

I’ll try to explain myself better.
We use your plugin together with “Woocommerce PDF Invoices Italian Add on”.I reached out to you for help because I thought that the fact invoices are not being automatically numbered could affect the generation of the .xml files (made by this other plugin).
As you suggested, I checked when the PDF invoice number is assigned and I confirm this happens whenever an order is being completed.
Nevertheless, if I check a completed order I can see no invoice number has been assigned.Here’s Woocommerce System report:
