Plugin disappeared, but files are still on server

  • We have a blog that uses the Blubrry PowerPress Podcasting Plugin, and it had been working great for about a month, and now it has suddenly disappeared. The files are still in the wp-content/plugins directory, but we can’t see them from the dashboard and all of our podcasts are down. All of our other plugins are still working normally. I have been searching the forms, and found only one topic that seemed to be the same problem as we have, but it wasn’t ever resolved (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/akismet-and-other-plugins-not-appearing-in-dashboard).

Do you know how we get this plugin back to where it was? It would take a significant amount of time to link all of our podcasts back up, and we want to be sure it won’t just disappear again if we take the time to redo it. Please help!

    Thank you in advance.

Did it disappear in the “dashboard” only, or from all of the wp-admin area?

The akismet dashboard issue you linked to refers specifically to the “Dashboard” page. There is a setting at the top right corner whee you can pick what widgets appear in your dashboard, that may be it.
