 * Does this require us to configure paypal IPN?
    and can we set link expire time
   or number of download limit?

 * No, you don’t need to. The notify URL is set in the form that gets submitted 
   to PayPal.
 * > and can we set link expire time or number of download limit?
 * Yes, you can set both in Settings, under the ‘Downloads’ tab.
    Note that they
   are set store wide, ie. NOT per product.
