  • Hi Jeremy,

Great to see you here and thanks for the heads up on this. Is there any chance you could send me a link to the page you are having troubles with? Keen to get things working well for you as soon as possible!

Yes, sir. Here’s my most recent post as an example but it’s happened to all of them: http://jeremysarber.com/a-floating-share-bar-superior-to-the-rest/

FYI, I’ve temporarily deactivated the Digg Digg plugin. I want to use it again so I’ll wait until I see a response here concerning my issue before reactivating it. I just wanted to let you know in case your team visits the my site. Thanks.

    Any word from the developers?

Hey Jeremy, thanks for the heads up on this bug. I am keen to get it fixed in the next update and not have it messed up the first tag. Is there any chance you could let me know what the theme is called you are using? We are working on an update for the coming days for sure! 🙂

With Version 5.1.1 (I’ve been testing with every new update you’ve put out) and the paragraph issue has finally been fixed. However, the Digg Digg bar no longer appears. Even with drastic changes to the left padding, it appears the bar it underneath the main content somewhere. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

    Hi Jeremy,

Great to hear from you and thanks so much for sticking with us whilst we are making all the changes to making the plugin slick and easy to use.

That’s definitely not good that the plugin doesn’t appear at all now. Is there any chance you could send me a screenshot of how this looks like for you? Keen to fix this in 5.1.2 for you.

    Best,

The problem is a screenshot wouldn’t show you anything. A few times when I’ve refreshed the page, the Digg Digg bar appears as it should on the left side of the screen. Most of the time, however, it doesn’t appear at all. Occasionally, I get a glimpse of it loading beneath the main content, but once the page fully loads, the Digg Digg bar can no longer be seen.

If you glance at the source code, the Digg Digg script starts towards the middle at about line 285. I’m not sure if that’s where it supposed to be or not. Maybe I try some manual placements and see what happens.

    Hi Jeremy,

Great to hear from you and thanks a lot for the heads up on this bug. We have just fixed this problem with today’s update.

If you just get the latest Digg Digg update, all should be working normally now for you.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions, I’ll be delighted to hear from you.

I updated and tested it again. Now, the Digg Digg bar drops entirely below the main content and footer. I adjusted the “how far to the left” setting but it didn’t work.

I’ve also tested Digg Digg with other WordPress themes. It worked perfect on them. I’m beginning to wonder if the Themeology theme just won’t play nice. I know every time Livefyre comments get updated I have to go in and insert a <p> tag to make my sidebar appear in the right place.

You can take my feedback into consideration, but there may come a point when you won’t want to worry about making it work with Themeology.

I do appreciate all your help though. I pay for my Buffer account and I love it.
