 * When I activate the plug-in, it seems to convert newline characters (\n) to `
<br />` elements in posts that don’t even have a `<pre>` or `<code>` tag. Is
this expected behavior? I downloaded the most recent version of the DevFormatter
   plugin-in.

 * Matt, DevFormatter has a parallel parser that format the code for a better structure
that most of developers as me uses.
So, if you want only the highlight system
on your blog with geshi, you can disable the DevFormatter Formatting system on
the configuration options. I hope you understand the diference, and thanks for
   chosing DevFormatter.
