[Plugin: DB Toolkit] Can I load a web page from a database record?

    David,

I am not yet a WordPress user, but I am in the process of deciding whether I can do what I want using WordPress. db-toolkit sounds like it might have the capability I need. I have a simple flat-file database (offline)from which each record generates a formatted catalog page using MailMerge. Can I do essentially the same thing on a website, such that a user can select a thumbnail photo and then the web page describing that item is assembled from the record in the database that is linked to that thumbnail? If so, can a neophyte programmer be expected to accomplish the task using your plug-in>

    Thank you.
    Ron

    The simple answer is yes.

This would require 2 interfaces into the table. the first for listing the items, the second as the viewer where the first redirect to.

    DesertSnowman,

Thank you for your encouraging reply. However, I have attempted to register on a dozen times, unsuccessfully. The error message says that I have to fill the WordPress Proficiency field (in which I have always selected “Newbie”) and that the code I selected is incorrect. That is the most unreadable verification code I’ve ever seen, but I refreshed it often enough to be confident that I had to get it right at least once.

    Any suggestions?

    Ron
