Support » Plugin: Dave's WordPress Live Search » [Plugin: Dave's WordPress Live Search] Using with qTranslate

  • It would be awesome if you added support for qTranslate and multilingual sites, so the results are shown:

    1. In the right language (the language you’re searching by)
    2. According to the chosen locale, so if you are browsing the site using English language it shouldn’t show results for other languages.

Currently the plugin searches for the full post contents, which in fact include all post translations (since qTranslate uses template tags and shortcodes to store the different translations: <!–:en–>English<!–:–><!–:ar–>Arabic<!–:–>, etc). Also, even when the word exists in some translation other than the default, the plugin will always shows the result in the default language (English).

Thanks, but I’m really not interested in adding support for other plugins right now, especially translation plugins. My plugin currently supports xLanguage if you need i18n compatibility. I’m happy to accept patches if you or another developer wish to submit one.
