I'm trying to figure out how to make a gallery/thumbnail type of display for a bunch of slideshows, like you have on your demo page: http://www.codefleet.net/cyclone-slider/templates/

I'm a total newbie to wordpress and would appreciate any advice you can kick down.

    Thanks for the awesome plugin.

    Hello alihooha,

You can download and install the plugin. Create your slideshow and select the thumbnails template. Consult the plugin installation guide http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cyclone-slider/installation/ and doc http://www.codefleet.net/cyclone-slider/documentation/ in case you need to.

    Hi kosinix,

    Thanks for your quick reply!

When I use the thumbnails template for my slideshow, nothing changes. The slideshow still shows up in full on the homepage rather than just a thumbnail. Do I need to change the code for the post format on the homepage?

Perhaps that wasn't very clear. Let me try again.

I do have the plugin installed and have been using it with some success. However, I want each slideshow to appear as a still, linked thumbnail on the homepage, and can't figure out how.

Instead, the whole dynamic slideshow appears on the homepage, which would be fine except that multiple slideshows on the same page seem to interfere with one another.

You have a very nice example on your website of what I'm trying to do: http://www.codefleet.net/cyclone-slider/templates/

Please would you tell me how to achieve that -- whether it's a function of the plugin or the theme?

Oh I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

Nope its not part of the plugin but the theme. I set the theme to look like that.

So what I did was create a screencap of the slideshow and place it inside anchor tags:

    <a href="[link to page with actual slideshow here]"> <img src="[link to screencap]" /> </a>

That way when you clicked on the image it takes you to the actual slideshow on a different page.
