[Plugin: Custom Taxonomy Creator] Hide from users on Post creation/edit page

  • I can confirm that only WP Administrators and Editors can add new items to a given taxonomy while Authors and Contributors can not. But you are right: The “Custom Taxonomy Creation” section is shown to Authors and Contributors even they can not change anything. “Add Entry”, “Edit” or “delete” buttons have no effect.

    That should be changed…

    Though I am not using this plugin, but I am facing the same issue, only admin can add new taxonomy, authors and contributors can just assign to a post and page.

    Usually I hide dashboard widgets using remove_meta_box() in theme specific functions.php:

    function my_remove_meta_boxes() {

    remove_meta_box(‘ctc_creation_box’, ‘custom-post-type_1’, ‘normal’);
    remove_meta_box(‘ctc_creation_box’, ‘custom-post-type_1’, ‘normal’);
    ..

    }
    add_action( ‘admin_menu’, ‘my_remove_meta_boxes’ );

    But, however, it DOES NOT work in the case of Custom Taxonomy Creator-Section.

    Don’t know, why. Need urgent help, please!

    Frank
