# [Plugin: Custom sidebars] sidebar background colour

 * custom-sidebars was really easy to install and I’m very pleased with it. I would
   like to add a background colour to my sidebars and I changed the colour in the
   css file in the sidebars folder but it hasn’t had any effect. Any ideas?

 * Always a bit frustrating when somebody solves their own issue and doesn’t add
   how the did it. Other people may face the same issue and so would be useful if
   you added an explanation.

 * The background color has nothing to do with the plugin, Custom sidebars just 
   change the content of the sidebar, so if you had white or transparent sidebars
   before using the plugin, you will keep the same color after using it.
 * You will have to edit your theme css to get the color you’d like.
