 * I’ve tried this plugin in 2 different sites – one with the default twenty ten
   theme and the other with the twenty ten weaver – and it doesn’t replace the sidebar
   with a custom one.
    Another problem I’ve found is this: I’ve created a custom
   sidebar named test, deleted it and then tried to create another one (named differently
   or even ‘test’ again) but it is not created. I run apache-2.2.16, php-5.3.2 on
   linux btw.
 * TIA

 * Hi zenguerrilla,
 * Does the sidebar appear in the Custom Sidebars List?? If you can see it there
   but it doesn’t appear in the select box, there is no problem, it’s a little bug,
   you have to go to the Widgets page to make your wordpress realize that there
   is a new sidebar. I’m working on solve that.
 * Otherwise i need more data to help you? WP version? Do you get any error message?

 * The steps to follow to replace the sidebar for twenty-ten – the same as the other
   themes:
 * 1. go to Appearance > Custom Sidebars
    2. In replaceable bars section select “
   primary-widget-area” and press Save changes button. 3. Go to edit the page-post
   you like to have a different sidebar, and in the sidebar select the one that
   you want to be shown. 3b. You can replace the bar for all the posts or page in
   Appearance > Custom Sidebars > Default sidebars.
 * Again, if you want to select a new bar that does not appear in the select box,
   go to Appearance > Widgets, and widgetize it before. Once done you will see it
   in the select box.

 * I’m having the same problem. I’m using the 2010 theme with WP 3.01
 * I get this message. “There are not replaceable sidebars selected. You can define
   what sidebar will be able for replacement in the Custom Sidebars config page.”
 * There are two created and they show in the list, but not when I edit post or
   pages. The steps above are not helping.

 * [@milynch43](https://wordpress.org/support/users/milynch43/)
 * You need to select what sidebars of the 20 10 theme will be able to replacement.
   In that original theme with one sidebar, you will have to select the bar called“
   primary-widget-area” to be replaceable, that is the one that is used in most
   pages.
 * To do so, go to Appearance > Custom Sidebars, and there you can see in the “Replaceable
   Sidebars” a select box with all the sidebars of your theme.
 * Select “primary-widget-area” and press the Save Changes button. Once saved, you
   will be able to select your custom bars from the post-page edition pages.

 * With me, it’s the same.
    I’m using wp 3.0.2 and my website (testserver) is [http://ah69.de/3](http://ah69.de/3)
   There I have replaced all boxes on
 * wp-admin/themes.php?page=customsidebars.
    And I have created new sidebars with
 * Homepage right – Homepage right
    Blog right – Blog right Blog left- Blog left
   Home left – Home left
 * But nothing happens. It’s a 3 column theme, but the default sidebars remains.

   I have a static home page and the blog is called “rechtsprechung”. the right
   sidebar for blog for e.g. get’s never overwritten.
 * pls help
