However this is based on me being able to find other people leaving posts about a similar issue. * Suggested changes that might make it easier to use: * 1. Once a widget is added to the sidebar, automatically save it, don’t rely on people having to press save on each widget. 2. Custom editing in widget would need a Save, while its position if changed by drag drop could be saved automatically. Please check default WordPress behavior first. I still had issues however I was able to identify the problem. * If the default widget area has no widgets, a custom widget area (using this plugin) won’t work. But I can’t add a new one. The plugin seems to be working with some widgets and not others. e.g. it works with the custom menu widget, but not the text widget. It works with some of my created widgets, but not others (despite them being very similar in code). * Oh the fun with this plugin. Does anyone know of another plugin that does similar to this one? When I drag and drop a widget on my sidebar widget area (on pages or posts) it seems to save and then just put a “-1” and nothing more happens. I can add widget on the wordpress widget original area. I made a new web site using latest version of WordPress and the uDesign theme installed in subfolder /wordpress using modified index.php as per Codex and with “pretty” page name links enabled. I have been testing it using my “Admin” page and some posts with Categories added. Unfortunately the “posts- for-page” calls inserted onto my main pages are not being interpreted at all – and so what is displayed is what you see when you go to the “About” page on my web site. It’s just displayed as text.
