[Plugin: Custom Post Type UI] Unable to remove post type name in permalinks

I’m using a plug-in called Custom Post Type UI, and I noticed that when changing back from one permalink setting to another the CPT post name still remains. For example, my regular Posts now only feature /%post-name%/ but the CPT I created displays /%category%/%post-name%/ in URLs. Did I miss something here? Strange thing is, if I change the post type name in the plug-in panel to something else than what I decided when I created it, the post type name won’t show up anymore, as if the new permalink settings went through all the way.
