[Plugin: Custom Post Type List Widget] Manual positioning

  • Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time creating this widget.
I was wondering if I could get it to be manual positioned in a template (one that isn’t widget aware) and then call it with an echo call.

I included the functionality as a shortcode in my plugin Shortcode-Grab-bag-plugin.

Just what I was looking for. Nice work.
Is there a way to control the truncation of the post titles?Right now, they have so many characters, then just have the ellipsis “…” I’d like them to just list the whole title, breaking into multiple lines if needed.
(but I couldn’t see in your code where you are truncating them)?

The post title comes right off the post record. I don’t truncate it. I seem to remember that there may be more than one post title. If there is, I will make an option to use the longer title.

The 0.8 release adds the ability to use long titles without truncating. I also included a shortcode in this release, although the name still says widget.

    Top notch Keith.

Works like a charm and perfect timing!
