Support » Fixing WordPress » [Plugin: Custom Permalinks] Custom Permalink Redirects to Strange Site

  • I’m making a website for a freebie site I’m sponsoring, so I downloaded Custom Permalinks plugin to make the permalinks look more professional. So I download and activate the plugin, and change the permalinks. But when I click update, and then view the page, it redirects to something weird ( and then redirects again to a strange search engine ( with a random search query. What is up with this plugin? Making me really frustrated right now.
Here’s my site address if that will help:

  • Same thing just happened to me…

I installed a plugin called Network Publisher last night and set everything up on that plugin and everything seemed to work just fine. This morning I woke up and my entire site was blank! So, to make a very long story short, I have fixed everything, at least I thought, now every time I add a page or a post, it redirects to the same sites your talking about.

What the hell is going on with this!? What is XLSearch and how can it over-ride a very protected WordPress website in order to redirect to their sh*t?

After hours and hours setting up my site, I really don’t want to start from scratch AGAIN! So now I just downloaded WordPress again and over-writing most of the backend as I can.

Anyone? Ideas? Solutions? Insight? Anything would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

can you send me the plugins zip???

I am also in the same boat! I am not great at using wordpress and I can’t get a hold of website designer to help me! I didn’t download any plug-ins and my site keeps redirecting me to It never actually goes to the webcache site but it is causing my website to take 5 minutes to load each page. I really need some help! I use this for my business and I can’t afford for it to keep doing this!!!
