# [Plugin: Custom Field Template] Using Shortcode in Post Excerpts??

 * Is it possible to use the shortcode to display the templates in post excerpts??
 * If not, is there a way I can call the field values into the excerpts?
 * Any Help would be most appreciated.

 * No Help 🙁
 * I have the templates setup up and am using [cft format=0] to pull that format
   into my post.
 * But I want to be able to use [cft format=1] in the excerpt of the post.
    But 
   when I do that all that shows up is the shortcode “[cft format=0]” instead of
   the code its supposed to be swapped out with.
 * Can this plugin load formats into the excerpt?
 * Any help is much appreciated.

 * As the default WordPress core does not allow you to use shortcodes in excerpts,
   but in the latest version 1.3.3 I added the option which made it possible to 
   do that in the setting page of the custom field template. There seems to be still
   something to improve this functionality, but please try it out. Thanks.

   ever. Your support and updates are amazing and prompt. I tested out the excerpt
   functionality and it worked perfectly with no issues, and this even included 
   using php in the format code. 🙂 🙂 you have made me very very happy. I am going
   to donate right now. I just want to thank you again for doing such a good job.
