[Plugin: Custom Field Template] Post / Page edit screen breaks in wp-admin

    We’re seeing some strange issues with the Custom Fields Template plugin on a site we’re developing for a client. When the plugin is enabled, it makes it impossible to navigate to the ‘edit’ screen for posts and pages in wp-admin. These pages seem to start rendering, then crap out partway through the <head> section of the document.

    Strangely, this only happens for us on one of our web hosts — 1and1. It doesn’t cause any problems locally or on Dreamhost.

    Has anyone seen behavior like this before? Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

    We’re using WP 3.0.2 and ver 1.7.9 of the plugin.

    never mind. sorry. false alarm.

    turns out 1and1 enables PHP 4 by default. You have to specifically ask for PHP 5. That was the problem.

    not a big fan of 1and1. Dreamhost is much better.
