[Plugin: Custom Field Template] name/value pairs?

  • Hi there and thanks for the powerful tool.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to do name/value pairs with this.

For instance, I am using CFT to create an archive of plays and films. I would like to have cast and crew lists, which would require a person’s name and their role/job. For right now, I have this info in a single custom field named “cast_member” and the content is like this:
    Harrison Ford|Han Solo
with the pipe symbol (|) added in by me. Then, when I print out the info on the front end, I use php to split each cast member’s info.
I would prefer a way to have separate input fields for both NAME and ROLE, and have them connect somehow…and also use the ‘multiple’ option which Custom Field Template allows.

I’ve been working out a way to do this using javascript, but if CFT can already do something like this I’d rather do that.

Any advice/help to do this greatly appreciated.

    thanks,
    Scott
