[Plugin: Custom Field Template] Add Viper's Video QuickTags in Textarea

When I install the Vipers Video Quicktags plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vipers-video-quicktags/) and look at the WYSIWYG’d text-area I can see the shortcode buttons, but when I add a video to the textarea it is not embedded in the post: I can only see the [youtube]youtubeURL[/youtube] tags.

Is there any way to fix this?
