[Plugin: Custom Content Type Manager] Custom Field Groups / Meta Boxes

    HI there,

    compared a lot of custom post plugins and really like the way you approach it. The only thing I’m missing right now is a way to keep the custom fields at bay – ordering them.

    Is there a way of creating custom field groups (like for instance in the plugin Advanced Custom Fields). That would keep the custom fields nice and ordered and maybe they (custom filed groups or even just custom fields) could be reused on different post types?

    Thanks for the note.

    Currently, only general ordering is allowed: you can drag and drop the list of custom fields to specify an order. There are several related things in the pipeline that address your other concerns, it just takes a while to get them prioritized and developed:

    Support for custom meta boxes is one way planned to help organize the fields: Issue 34

    Support for custom manager HTML (this would allow for a LOT of flexibility): Issue 65

    And I’m currently working on the normalization of the field definitions: Issue 40

    I work on these as I get paying gigs where I can use them, but if you have other feature requests, please share them in the bug tracker so I can get them on my radar!
