[Plugin: CSV Importer] adding different image to each post

  • Hello,

With your CSV importer plugin, is it possible to assign a “featured image” to each post, perhaps by adding the filename to the CSV file and them naming all the images to match and FTPing all the properly named images?

I am trying to add multiple images and assign each image to it’s own post, for a large amount of images (about 400)

    Thank you

  • Hello,

Anyone know how to upload images to each post??

    Thanks

@ JoomJohnny5 – I think you’re going in the right direction. I too want to do this, I am also thinking about FTping the images to right location in uploads and then in post_content field I’ll add <img src=”path” /> This image should work as the featured image if its the only image in that post… lets see if it works!

Erachnid – have you had any success with that? I am trying to link three images per post to about 2000 posts – CSV Importer has successfully pulled all posts in perfectly but I just dont know how to get the posts to read the images link.

Anyone had any luck with this?

Any luck on this anyone please?

    one option:
upload the featured image seperately. then create a custom field column in csv as ‘_thumbnail_id’ the value of this cell should be the id of uploaded image. one can get the id of image by editing it. observe the url on edit options. you can find the id.
