[Resolved] Plugin CSS – Button Color !important tag

  • Ashley,

Because my custom css is part of my theme (Thesis), it loads before the plugin css. I see that, in the latest plugin version, you have added the !important tag to the button text color. This means that I can’t change the text color using custom css because it is overridden by the plugin css.

I’m not too sure why you have used the !important tag, because, when I remove it, everything works fine.

Could you remove it from future updates so that I don’t have to edit the plugin css, please?

    Thanks,

    Martin

    Hi Martin,

The reason the !important rule was added is because on some themes the buttons text colour was using the generic rules set in the theme’s CSS file and not the colours set by Delightful Downloads. As you can imagine this left some horrible looking buttons and in some cases they were completely unreadable.

If you are modifying the buttons appearance in any way it would be advised to completely disable the Delightful Downloads stylesheet in the Settings screen under the Advanced tab. You are then free to style the buttons in any way using your custom CSS in your theme’s file.

    Regards,

    Ashley
