Support » Plugin: Table of Contents Plus » Plugin crashes when page is too large

I’m running into a problem with the TOC on a page that’s around 10K words. Somewhere around 10,030 words, the plugin causes an error on the page itself that prevents the content from displaying. Removing the shortcode allows the content to show. Removing a couple lines also allows the content to show. Otherwise, the content and TOC are gone.

Short of breaking this into multiple pages, are there any suggestions for workarounds or fixes?

I have it working without problems on pages with over 20,000 words. For these pages, I’m not using the shortcode but getting it to automatically add itself.

What error message do you get? I’m thinking it could be because PHP has run out of memory so try increasing it?

I increased the PHP memory limit from 128M to 750M, but I’m still seeing the same issue. I also tried using the auto-generate option rather than shortcode, but it still wasn’t displaying.

    Any other ideas?

Are you able to provide a link to the page with the problem? If not, try the Debug Bar plugin and see if anything is recorded that may help with finding out the cause.

Since my page is not public yet, I’d prefer not to post it directly to the forum. Can I send you an email directly? My email address is corywill86 at gmail.
