 * Hello!
 * I’m having problems creating a feed. The process does not start and after a while
   it crashes the site and I get a 504 Gateway timeout. When I check the plugin
   status check everything is ok and set to true. I have installed the plugin WP
   Crontrol and on Cron events I see this error message:
 * Det gick inte att initiera något anrop till systemet WP-Cron på din webbplats.
   Det innebär att WP-Cron-åtgärder på din webbplats kanske inte fungerar. Felmeddelandet
   var:
    cURL error 7: Failed to connect to [http://www.taltvarlden.se](http://www.taltvarlden.se)
   port 443: Connection refused
 * Could this be the reason why it is not working?

 * Hi kitc,
 * Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.
 * The error message you are getting with regards to the WP-cron definitely is the
   reason the plugin is not working.
 * `Unable to initiate a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means that
   WP-Cron actions on your site may not work. The error message was: "cURL error
   7: Failed to connect to http://www.taltvarlden.se port 443: Connection refused`
 * Somehow your WP-cron is restricted/broken causing the plugin to run into a timeout.
 * When you get the WP-cron issue sorted out I am positive our plugin will function
   just fine.
 * All the best,
    Eva

 * We are no WP-cron experts so unfortunately we don’t know how to solve it. I would
   suggest you reach out to your host with this WP-cron issue.

 * Hi,
 * Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved and/or our support is no longer
   required I am going to close this topic for housekeeping reasons now.
 * Don’t hesitate to reach out again whenever you need our help.

 * Hello! I have now resolved the curl error but I’m still having trubble creating
   a feed. When I try to create a feed I get a HTTP 500 error. And then when I go
   to manage feeds I see that the feed is stopped or stuck at 0%.

 * And now I also get the 504 Gateway error and the site crashes as before.

 * A 504 gateway error is usually caused by the Cloudflare plugin that runs into
   a timeout.
 * I did some research and game across this article:
    [https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/504-gateway-timeout](https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/504-gateway-timeout)
 * I suggest you turn-off Cloudflare and give it another try.
 * Also, when you have solved the WP-cron issue you need to de-activate and re-activate
   our plugin so the WP-cron events are loaded and set again.
 * Best,
    Eva

 * We don’t use Cloudflare so I can’t turn it off. I tried to deactive and activate
   the plugin but the same error occurs when i create the feed.

 * Hmmm though one then, a 504 error indicates that a timeout is happening somewhere.
   Did you check the WooCommerce error logs to see if there is an error in it that
   could help pinpoint the problem?

 * There is no error in the WooCommerce log unfortunately. I have also increased
   resources (CPU and RAM) on the server but it did not help.

 * Something, a server configuration or a firewall/caching plugin setting, is causing
   our plugin to run into a timeout but it is hard to tell what it could be.
 * What are these values for you?

 * Those should be fine although a ‘max upload size’ of more than 2MB might be advisable
   I don’t think that is the cause for the timeout.
 * The only option left now is to start disabling your plugins one-by-one and try
   creating a product feed after you disabled a plugin to see if it solves the issue
   at hand. Firewall and caching plugins are the ones to start with.

 * When I turned of Wordfence i did not get the server error. But a message that
   the website is having technical issues on the create feed page. When I go to
   manage feeds the process is still stuck on 0%. But I do not get the 504 Gateway
   error.

 * Ok, when you have disabled Wordfence then de-activate and re-activate our plugin
   so the cron-events are set again and try refreshing the feed again.
 * Best,
    Eva
