[Plugin: Countdown Timer] Changing seconds

I’m trying out the Countdown Timer and using it as a widget in the sidebar. I’m wanting to know why the time doesn’t actively count down… it remains static until the page is reloaded. Under the “Manage”->”Countdown Timer” interface, at the bottom, the example does show a changing seconds and minutes.
