  • First of all, Mr. Praaven was kind enough to create a plugin FOR FREE, so we should never be less than grateful.

Now, are you putting the links in the Gallery Name? Make sure you are naming your gallery BEFORE going to the YouTube videos tab.

The Youtube tag begins after the “=” and ends before the “&” and all characters in between should be included.

Are you using commas to separate? These links:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo5jJpHtI1Y
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGiWlGLTJ1o&feature=fvwrel

    Should look like this: qo5jJpHtI1Y,jGiWlGLTJ1o

    Dear Mdeicke!

I am really grateful for the FREE Plugin to Mr. Praaven, its fantastic! And now I am grateful to you also for you help! Now its clear, that only the charakters between “=” and “&” must be put in. It works!

    Thanks again!

    Agnes

I’m having the same problem as stated by @panthercz and @nikolastheo.

I’ve gone over the Youtube tag to ensure that’s correct, re-installed the plugin and set all permissions to 777 just in case but it still displays a blank page when trying to load a youtube video.

    The url I receive is
    http://www.crearepaul3.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php?page=cvg-gallery-add#linkvideo

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

The version of WP I’m using is WordPress 3.4.1.

I had the same problem before, but mdeicke helped me to solve it. I can only say the same, that was told me. It is very important which part of the Youtube url you paste.

Youtube url example looks like this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qez6PEKXh9w&feature=plcp

But only the charakters between “=” and “&” must be put in the plugin.
    Something like this:
    Qez6PEKXh9w&feature

Please read the mdeicke’s posts also!

I’ve experimented with a number of video plugins so understand about the video ID and have been putting it in correctly and triple checked that.

For some reason, the plugin just isn’t working for me which is sad as this sounded perfect and I loved the simplicity as well as the opportunity for my client to update quickly and easily.

Until this error is fixed however, I’ve had no choice but to find an alternative solution.

    djspider88,

I had similar issues, and I believe they were browser-cache related. I have the another problem whenever going to the “Sharing” options on WP where I can’t drag the icons over, and it’s definitely a cache issue. Don’t know if it’s some bit of bulk script, or a JS problem. An inconvenience, but you can get around it, and the plugin WILL work for you as long as you have the minimum WP version required.

Try dumping all your cache and try again. If that doesn’t work, go down the list of possible JS problem cures: dumping all temp files, checking browser plugins (such as on Firefox), kill any unneeded scripts running in the background, even rebooting the computer.

    HI guys! 🙂

First of all THIS IS A GREAT PLUGIN! My regards to Mr. Praveen Rajan. However it only works on one of my websites. On the other I have the same problem as the others…some JS bug i think..:/ But I don’t have enough knowledge to fix it so what should I do?

    Thanks for any help!

I got same problem as @mdeicke. Did doublecheck ID and entered it 100% correct, I can confirm this as on another server and another wordpress site it works like a charm.

@cssgirl, to me it looks like xml parsing error on the first blink… But am also thinking that maybe it could have something to do with a server configuration as well, as it is weard that it works on one server and not on another.

Any help and hopefuly a fix or a hint how to solve it would be apreciated.

    Details from overview (NOT WORKING):

Operating System : Linux (64 Bit)
    Server : Apache
    MySQL Version : 5.1.63-cll
    PHP Version : 5.3.15
PHP Max Upload Size : 1.46484375MB
    FFMPEG : Not Installed
[Note: Preview images for uploaded videos will not be created automatically using FFMPEG. Manually upload preview images for videos.]
    PHP extension SimpleXML : Enabled
    PHP setting allow_url_fopen : Enabled

However it is working on my other server:
    Details from overview (WORKING):
Operating System : Linux (32 Bit)
    Server : Apache/2.2.17 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.17 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.4.9
    MySQL Version : 5.0.95-community
    PHP Version : 5.3.6
PHP Max Upload Size : 8MB
    FFMPEG : Not Installed
[Note: Preview images for uploaded videos will not be created automatically using FFMPEG. Manually upload preview images for videos.]
    PHP extension SimpleXML : Enabled
    PHP setting allow_url_fopen : Enabled

The differences are two, one is 64bit and 32 bit configuration, another is PHP Max Upload Size. Seems that 1.46484375MB is not much, but should be probably enaugh for an xml file parsing…

    Any sugestions anyone?
