[Plugin: Cookie Control] Plugin won't work in either of my CloudFlare CDN supported websites

    I can’t get this WordPress Cookie Control plugin to work in either of my CloudFlare CDN supported websites. Even though I have tried to stop it caching and written a Page Rule for “http://www.socialstrategy.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/cookie-control/* ” the Rocket Loader keeps on loading it:

    I think this is why it doesn’t work on their platform as yet. I have also tried it on a totally different site, also on CloudFlare, and it has the same problem. Looks like Rocket Loader is grabbing the java and won’t let it run.

    Can you tell me how to fix it? At the moment I can’t even get Cookie Control to show up on the page.

    I would probably recommend filing that Rocket Loader bug with us so we can take a look at it & turning it off for now.

    Good idea and many thanks. I have done that now. Let’s see what happens.

    In the mean time I switch off Rocket Loader completely and seems to be showing up on the page and running fine.

    Thanks for letting me know that turning off Rocket Loader has apparently fixed the issue.

    Well, that’s not actually what I said. I reported the Rocket Loader bug as you suggested and I have yet to hear back from that report. Turning Rocket Loader off means I can at least run Cookie Control and have it show up on all browsers. But that still leave a broken Page Rule that doesn’t stop Rocket Loader loading the Cookie Control Javas cript and a website that is now about 3 times slower to load because Rocked Loader is switched off. So really the issue is very far from “fixed”. Its just that you suggested a workaround that has worked temporarily while I wait for some response from the Rocket Loader bug squashers.

    This is what you said & that’s what I responded to.

    The Rocket Loader bugs, unfortunately, do take some time to investigate or fix. Rocket Loader is a beta feature, so it does mean that there is still the potential for things to break.

    No problem. I just wanted to be sure I hadn’t miss-communicated and I had accurately recorded the current situation, which is why I hadn’t yet marked this thread as “resolved”.
