    What do you mean by “their Remote Address / REMOTE ADDR”? Is that different from what [_remote_ip] shows?

    Yes, it would normally show the ISP details – for example “bb.sky.com”, “broadband.bt.com” etc.

    Where have found it useful is by blocking certain server systems by name instead of by IP address.

    Put this line into mail body:

    Whois : http://whois.arin.net/rest/ip/[_remote_ip]
