Support » Plugin: Contact Form DB » [Plugin: Contact Form 7 to Database Extension] File Upload size limit issue for database

  • I’m having an issue using the plugin to capture file uploads. I’m using Contact Form 7, version 3.1.2, and when I set up file uploads, files above the size of 2mb do not get added to the database. Files under this size work fine and appear in the database. I made sure to set CF7 file upload sizes properly in the contact form.

As a side note, the files actually do get properly submitted to WordPress since I did a test with CF7 and it successfully sent the file to me by email–so the issue is in regard to the write to the database, not in file upload limits (which I’ve set correctly on the server for all other usage but this situation).

So, files get sent to CF7, then emailed, but not written to the database. I have version 2.3.1 of the plugin installed.

Any other thing I might be missing?

  • Ok, fixed my own issue. Was related to the mysql setting for max_allowed_packet being defaulted to 1mb, once I set it higher things worked fine.
