[Plugin: Contact Form 7] The upgrade killed my forms

    Got a notice in WordPress there was an upgrade for the plug-in. Clicked to have it auto-upgrade, it disabled (actually deleted) the old plug-in and then fail upon the re-install.
    Have to start over from scratch.

    I have a similar issue. when i saw that there is an update available, i deactivated the plugin, auto-updated it, activated it again. In my WordPress Backend i still have my form and it appears as it should. But my Error Messages / Validation Error Messages are all somehow reset. The wired thing is, that in the Backend the Settings for “Messages” are still customised as i did it before, but those changes don’t take effect anymore and on the website appears the standard messages. I dont know what to do now, since the settings in the backend are not taking effect on the frontend after updating.
