Support » Plugin: Contact Form 7 » [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Problem with validation

  • I’m inserting my contact form on one of my pages with this HTML:
[contact-form 1 "Contactform"]The text on my contact page

    The above generates:
    <p><div class="wpcf7" ...>...</div>The text on my contact page</p>

Where is some normal wpcf code. My problem is, that W3C validation cannot accept the div-tag inside a p-tag. The p-tag is auto-generated by the wordpress core.

    How can I handle this?

  • Interesting question. I like validating, but quite honestly never care enough to get as granular as this case.

Tiny editor does put in tags willy-nilly sometimes, and that can be irritating.

My best guess – look for a Tiny editor replacement plugin that allows straight HTML editing with no “surprise additives”. I believe there are some.

    Good luck, Dave
