• Hi,

I installed Contact Form 7 plugin in my wordpress site; however, it is not functioning.

    Contact Form

    Your Name (required)

    Your Email (required)

    Subject

    Your Message

    Send button

Whenever I pressed send button, it is only showing me, circling arrow, and then the arrow disappered.

I waited for the e-mail to come, yet I did not received any e-mail from the contact form.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

I tried to deactivate all the plugins except the contact form and also have tried to switch to Twenty Ten theme, yet the same thing still remains, I only see circling arrow and then the arrow disappear. No success green messages.

I am using contact form 2.4.5 by the way and wordpress 3.1.1

Do other email send successfully within WordPress? New passwords, comment notices etc.?

Well, I disabled the comment forms. I also did not get any e-mails when I first installed my wordpress nor before I disabled my comment form and I tried to fill in random comments in it.

Basically, I have not receive any e-mail yet from my localhost wordpress site.

So the problem could be a mail one rather than CF7, yes? Is PHP mail() enabled on your server?

How to enable the PHP mail() ?

Consult the documentation for your server.

    I am using:

    AppServ 2.5.10 : php5, Apache 2.2, phpMyAdmin 2.10.3

There is no pdf documentation in it, except for Readme, which does not explain anything regarding the PHP mail().
