[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Manual (non-automatic) support?

  • This is a feature request.

    I have a couple Flash-based apps that use WordPress and Contact Form 7 for the backend. I do not use the standard automatic method with your plugin, but instead manually interact with it through Flash, much like you would with AJAX. I think it’d be great if there were some kind of API available for retrieving information from your plugin. I am currently doing things like:

    $unit_tag = 'wpcf7-f' . $form_id . '-p' . $page_id . '-o1';

    and

    absolute_to_relative_url(get_permalink($id_contact)))
    (for the form’s URL)

    This route is more direct, requiring more in-depth knowledge of the plugin’s settings and is less OOP to boot. When things change in the WordPress admin, I have to modify the theme files.

    This would be useful to anyone who wishes to use your plugin in a more manual fashion, perhaps even with other technologies such as, in my case, Flash.

    Thank you for the plugin!
