[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Is there an option to send http header info (user-agent)?

  • Hi Takayuki,

A quick question, is there an option to grab http header info of the user who submits the form?

I tried to look around but there is no such option. So I now use Easy Contact instead.

Please let me know if it is possible, thanks! If it is not, could I file a feature request? I think it’s not that hard to implement.

    Best Regards,
    Terry

  • If what you need is client IP address, you can use [wpcf7.remote_ip].

    Contact Form 7 1.8.1

    Others are not supported, unfortunately.

Has anyone found a way to do this? For support forms, being able to gather all the http header info is super important. Being able to know browser version, OS… some people don’t even know which browser they’re using or how to figure that out. user_agent is very important.

    Why not use Google Analytics?

I agree this is an important feature
google analytics works but is too much work sometime impossible when you have large amounts of user form mail
