[resolved] Invalid Field Message Position (3 posts)

I am having a problem with positioning the Invalid Field Messages in my form. I am not referring to the one that is positioned by [response], but the specific messages that point out the invalid fields themselves (i.e. "Please fill the required field."). The problem I am having is that these are appearing over the invalid field and not allowing the user to then correct the form for submission. Additionally the user is not able to edit any of the fields that appear in the form prior to the position of the invalid field.

Is there any way that I am able to control the positioning of these messages? Or at least make it so that they don't interfere with the fields themselves? I can see it's simple enough to change what they say, but haven't been able to find how to position them. The only thing that has kind of worked is by having no message show for the invalid field, but then the user may not see where they have mis-entered/omitted information.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks.

You can change the position of message with simple CSS. See styles.css, you'll find a style for span.wpcf7-not-valid-tip in it. Just override it in your theme's style.css.
