[Plugin: Contact Form 7] HTML Entities Abusively Filtered

  • When adding HTML entities to a contact form, they are filtered on save. That makes it is not possible to add non-breaking spaces into a form. If one adds an HTML non-breaking space ( ) into a contact form, it is converted into a normal space character on save.

    This is an issue in French where punctuation marks rules differ from English.

    In English, one would write this:

    Blah blah blah:

    • blah blah blah;
    • blah blah blah;
    • blah blah blah.

    In French, some punctuation marks need to be separated with a non-breaking space placed before them like this:

    Bla bla bla :

    • bla bla bla ;
    • bla bla bla ;
    • bla bla bla.

    It is not possible to add non breaking spaces into a contact form right now.
