If anyone reading this could help me tailor a solution to getting some hidden fields I would very much appreciate it.

Love Contact 7, but really need a hidden fields feature.

I am actually using fields to build a longer string. I want the label to make sense to the casual reader, but the value to be something different.

So, for example - I want them to see:

    Choose your fruit:
    APPLE
    ORANGE
    BANANA

But the corresponding values that I actually want passed are:
    special.grannysmith.12367
    regular.florida.25431
    yellow.plantains.35678

(I don't WANT "apple" passed, I just want "special.grannysmith.12367" passed). But that value doesn't mean much to the reader...Apple *does*!

Not a coder, but I can usually get things to work if someone points me in the right direction :)

You don't need hidden fields for that purpose. Just use "pipes".
