[Plugin: Contact Form 7] How do you get ajax to work with validating?

  • Hi there!

    I’ve been tinkering with the contact form 7, and see that on other sites, when you don’t enter a valid name, you get a red-bordered pop up box, that dissapears on mouse-over. I only get an error message underneath the box.

    In the code, I think it is this part that I am talking about:

    span.wpcf7-not-valid-tip {
    background:none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
    border:1px solid #FF0000;
    font-size:10pt;
    left:20%;
    padding:2px;
    position:absolute;
    top:20%;
    width:280px;
    z-index:100;
    }

    span.wpcf7-not-valid-tip-no-ajax {
    	color: #f00;
    	font-size: 10pt;
    	display: block;
    }

    So, it seams I am not using ajax. How can I activate this? I really like the popups, because they don’t mess up my lay-out. But how do I create them??

    Thanks in advance!!

  • Sometimes I forget to add <?php wp_footer();?> in my footer.php which results in scripts not loading.

    Your problem is not in CSS for sure.
