It says “fail to send message on the first problem, the 2nd problem is if I try to just use the mail 2 (no cc’ing anyone) it does not send the message at all. The mail 1 will send fine though.

I also noticed that if i have it like this:

    CC: tklein@petersenhealthcare.net, tklein87@gmail.com

and chagne the comma to a semi-colon it says it send successfully but I don’t recieve any email.

I also want to note that I used both the WP-Mail plugin to go through our mail server and also tried using PHP_Mail() also. They both do the same thing.

Is this issue relating to specific recipient addresses?

Apparently its our mail server I think, I keep getting a Status 550 error in our mail server logs for trying to send anything through contact form 7 to outside our domain. Adding multiple CC’s, and the Mail2 works fine if we just use emails with our domain name, but as soon as I add an external email address like an @gmail or something it gets a 550 error.

Any idea how to fix this? I think its more my problem then the plug-ins I figured out. I had a feeling it was my fault, usually is :).

Sounds like some mail security system is working. You should contact your host.

Or, you can try SMTP plugin.

thats what I use unfortunately :(. The woes of IIS.

Well the answer was that I needed to add a relay IP inside our exchange server.

Nothing to do with the plugin, kind of figured that from the beginning.
