[Resolved] [Plugin: Connections] Tweaking a Template

First off, love this plugin, does almost exactly what I wanted it to do!

I decided to take the existing card-bio template and tweak it slightly – all I needed was to remove the vcard link (“Add to Address Book”) and the small red text telling when the info was last updated. The ‘back to top’ arrow could stay put, however.

Now, I made a copy of the template, edited the meta and template files as needed, and got the template uploaded into the connections_templates folder. then I found it on the “Templates” screen, activated it, got the confirmation. But when I went to look on the front end, it looks identical to the default card-bio layout, including the pesky “add to address list” and red “updated…” text. If possible I also wanted to change the pale grey border around each entry to green, perhaps #005500.

    Have a look here: http://www.dbcusa.org/dbc/about-us/board/

Please advise, any help would be much appreciated.

Are you by chance using either the template or list_type shortcode options?

If you’re using the template shortcode option, remove it.
And if you’re using the the list_type shortcode option, you have to make sure to activate your template under the matching template type. for example, if you have list_type='organization', you will also have to activate you’re template under the “Organization” template type. Hope that makes sense.
