• Besides Seamless Donations, another great plugin supported by Goodbye Captcha is Ultimate Member. Unfortunately, the Seamless Donations plugin causes a conflict with Ultimate Member. Certain profile fields, such as Country, Languages Spoken, Roles, and perhaps others that I haven’t discovered are no longer editable. The input field simply disappears when in edit mode. Can this be resolved?

    Thanks,

UPDATE: Can’t edit profile photos either.

Does this happen only when Goodbye Captcha is enabled, or separately as well? I took a quick look at Ultimate Member and there are a lot of setup options. I’m happy to see what I can do (and bring in the other plugin makers as well), but I’d really appreciate it if you could help me get started.

Can you give me a quick summary of the steps I’d need in enabling Ultimate Member (and fields in Seamless Donations) that I could do to repeat the problem?

Also, do you know if this is unique to the theme you’re running or to every theme? Could you please try this in Twenty Thirteen and let me know if you have the same problem?

P.S. That sort of problem is often due to a style sheet conflict, and it could be the styles Ultimate Member and Seamless Donations are using, or it could be the style sheet of the theme that is selecting things that might be in common across the plugins. That’s why I’m asking all these questions.

    David,
Although Ultimate Member is a very capable plugin, it should be fairly easy to test on a new install if there is in fact a plugin conflict.

    1. Install the UM plugin leaving everything to the default settings.
    2. Then go to Ultimate Member –> Forms and select Default Profile.
    3. Add some extra fields such as the ones I mentioned earlier that were not behaving correctly.
    4. Then visit the profile page ( /user is the default page for profiles) and try to edit it by clicking the gear icon.

With Seamless Donations active, some of the input fields should disappear if you’re having the same issue I’m having. I don’t think it has anything to do with Goodbye Captcha or my theme (Divi 2) so I’ve had to jump over to a different donation plugin that didn’t cause any conflicts.

Hopefully, this was helpful and you’re able to figure out what’s going on.

I’m sorry about the delay. As you probably know from my support forum post, I’ve been away on a family emergency.

Adding it as a bug. I’ll test it out.
