• Hi, I’ve been using the [crp] shortcode and the ‘Manual Related Posts’ box to display specific posts on a page. It works perfectly, until I use the [testimonial_single] shortcode from the Handsome Testimonials Pro plugin.

If I put the [crp] shortcode first on the page, it works. When I put it second on the page after their shortcode, it doesn’t display the manual related posts anymore. Just one or two random posts, not even the full six.

I realise this might be entirely their fault and there’s nothing you can do about it, but I thought I should at least ask.

    Thanks.

    Is it this one? https://wordpress.org/plugins/handsome-testimonials/

Does the automatic display work on these page? i.e. without the shortcode?

Yes, the pro version of that.

Oh. Yes if I turn on the automatic thing for pages then it works properly.

    Hi,

I just tried the free version on my test site and added a dummy testimonial. Put the [testimonial_single] shortcode first and [crp] second.

I then set up manual posts in the Metabox below. With this setting I don’t have any issues. I see the exact same set of posts starting with the manual ones.

I repeated this with pages as well as posts without issue.

Do you notice this issue on all your posts/pages?

It happens on every page with a testimonial. There are a lot of other plugins installed, I guess it might not happen on a cleaner install. It works fine on pages without testimonials.

I enabled the automatic display for pages, and then excluded all the pages I don’t want. It’s close enough to what I want. The only improvement would be the ability to change the “title of related posts” text, so that it’s different for posts and pages.

Thanks for going to so much effort to test it!

    Hi pault83!

Can you please send me some details to re-produce the problem and I might be able to help you out with Handsome Testimonial conflict with Contextual Related Posts Plug-in.

I am sorry but I don’t have much experience with Contextual Related Posts Plug-in but I am sure it must be an awesome plug-in.

    Thanks!

    What details do you need?

Like how you have configured your CRP? Also, are you using Handsome Testimonial’s Pro version and what is the shortcode that you are using for Handsome Testimonial. Actually, I have tried to re-produce the issue but I don’t see any conflicts with CRP so I asked for your help to fix it.

@kkais, thanks for assisting as well

@pault83, could you please test with another theme as well? Is it specific to any testimonials or are they across all testimonials?
