Plugin conflict with ACF – only in IE

  • Hi, i am having these strange bug, First of all, it seems to be a jquery conflict. I´ve checked the plugins and found that the bug only persists if Meteor Slides and ACF are activated together.
    – Meteor Slide 1.5.1
    – Advanced Custom Fields 4.1.7

Here´s a link to check, above the “cases” title, i´ve tested on IE9.

I remember that it was working before updating ACF, but i prefer to not downgrade it, because it´s an “IE-only” issue and i could find a solution. The plugins is not interacting, each one is in a different par of the theme.
I would really apreciatte if anyone know the solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I don’t think Advanced Custom Fields is causing this problem, I use it with Meteor Slides a lot and have never had any problems. ACF doesn’t load any scripts on the front end so it couldn’t really effect anything on there. What exactly is the conflict?

I do see a few issues in the source code, there are two versions of jQuery loading, the correct default version that comes with WordPress, and a second copy from a third party. Probably your theme is loading this third party copy, I would try deactivating this extra copy in your theme or use the Restore jQuery plugin to remove it.

If you inspect the page with Firebug, you’ll see an error coming from Responsive JS Plugins, I’d take a look into that too.
