  • The front faceing part of your website or the back end? If this is done by default, then it’s in violation of plugin policy and needs to be reported to plugins@wordpress.com ASAP.

    It places the footer on the front facing part of the website, the code that does that part is:

    function compression_footer_plugin_support() {
      $pshow = "<p style='font-size:x-small'>Compression Plugin made by <a href='http://www.corktilesreview.com'>Cork Tiles</a></p>";
      echo $pshow;
    }

    I did try to strip it out, but it causes errors if you do, and I’m not that clued up about php to rewrite the script so it doesn’t call on the footer to be inserted.

    Thanks for the email address, I will report the plugin

    You’d also have to find the other call to compression_footer_plugin_support(), but yeah, howdy, that’s not allowed at all!

    Ugh, I hate when people do that. FYI, you can ONLY have links on the front of the site if they’re opt in.

    Listed here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/about/

    Thanks for the link, and I hate it when people do that as well.

    I don’t mind giving credit to the plugin authors, it’s just that I prefer to have the choice where I give credit, whether in an article, or a link on my credits page.

    Thanks again for the info 😉
