 * I have WordPress 4.2.2, and need a userfriendly plugin that renders javascript
   and CSS. One plug in wasn’t compatible with my website, and then I saw the write
   up for Autoptimize, which works for wordpress up to 4.2.2.
    I attempted to download
   then got a message that said “do you really want to do that?” Why would I get
   this message and are there any plugins that work with 4.2.2? I attempted Supercache3
   and that really slowed down my site. Thanking you in advance, Neptune (website:

 * hiya neptun1021;
    I can confirm AO works perfectly with wp 4.2.2. The “do you
   really want to do that?” message as such is not due to some incompatibility between
   WP & a plugin, but in general is due to some problem with a number of security
   checks in WP when executing an action in the backend. Try to logout, log in again,
   immediately go to the “install new plugin” page and re-try to install AO. Alternatively
   you could also download and unzip the autoptimize zip-file and upload the result
   via FTP or your hoster’s admin-panel.
 * regarding optimizing CSS/JS: do take into account that this can make your site
   slightly slower as well, so also install a page caching plugin (e.g. wp super
   cache or hypercache) to make your optimized site really fly!
 * hope this helps,
    frank

 * Thanks! I logged out, and went back in and this time was able to download Autoptimizer
   without issue. Settings are going, and I took a look at the Hypercache as well.
   Greatly appreciate your suggestion and help.
