 * Hello,
 * I have two rather simple question, but I still haven’t found a straightforward
   answer, so decided to ask.
 * I want to install your plugin since it is highly recommended. However, I currently
   have Google Analytics Dashboard for WP installed (for analytics tracking), as
   well as Enhanced E-commerce for Woocommerce store plugin (for ecommerce tracking).
   If I understood correctly, I can remove both of these plugins when I install
   yours, as they are redundant once I insert the appropriate tags, correct?
 * If so, is there any dashboard traffic stat view in your plugin available? Or
   do you have any recommendation what plugin could cover that which would not clash
   with yours?
 * If you could shed some light on this, it would be really appreciated.
 * Kind regards,
    Marko Matijasevic

 * Hi Marko,
 * Google Tag Manager itself must not be used with Google Analytics, you can place
   other tags inside GTM and leave your GA plugins active. What you need to make
   sure that you do not add GA tracking inside your GTM container AND have any active
   native GA plugins as with this you will track the same interactions (pageviews,
   events, transactions) multiple times.
 * My plugin does not have any dashboard feature and it is not planned to have such
   a feature as GTM is a more general tool to handle all your tracking codes in
   one place, not just Google Analytics.
 * For dashboarding, I usually recommend creating Google Data Studio reports that
   are far more flexible but I also have to admit that this is yet another tool
   to learn to use. It is not a WP plugin but a standalone service of Google.
    If
   you need one click solutions, I would definitely vote against my plugin and GTM.
 * You can read more about this here.

 * I hope that helps you clarify whether you need this plugin and GTM or not. Please
   let me know if you have additional questions.

 * Hi again,
 * Thank you for the fast reply. Seems to me that your plugin offers a much more
   powerful approach than the other one-click plugins, while “sacrificing” just
   a dashboard view, it just needs to be properly setup. Even more, it would enable
   me to remove numerous plugins, since I just realised I can even track Facebook
   Pixel from GTM (it all works through your plugin I assume?).
 * It really looks like an awesome plugin and GTM seems well worth switching over.
 * Thanks once again!

 * You can use almost every tracking code on the net inside GTM. There are many
   so called tag templates on the GTM UI which gives you the comfort of only entering
   some IDs and options and GTM will take care of the JavaScript codes. Unfortunately
   the Facebook pixel does not have such a tag template (yet) but there is a general
   tag type in GTM called “Custom HTML tag” where you can copy/paste a FB pixel
   and use it as you wish.
 * In that point of view your FB pixel will not be handled by my plugin but by GTM
   itself.
 * But yes, as you said: proper setup has to be done and you can deactivate other
   plugins as well 🙂 If you are new to GTM, I would advise to go through this quick
   free online course of Google:

 * Thank you for the link to the course, it should be very helpful 🙂
 * As for the Facebook Pixel over custom HTML tag, I think I’ll do it that way,
   to reduce the number of plugins even further. I still don’t have to do anything
   on the WordPress side, I assume, just GTM? Since your plugin places the container
   in WordPress?

 * Actually yes.
    If you learn GTM more deeply, you will learn a term called “data
   layer”. My plugin can fill this with lots of useful data and you can use this
   to evolve your tags on the GTM UI. But I would advise to learn the basics first
   🙂

 * Managed to get it working, now I just need to customise it completely 🙂 Thank
   you for the help once again, I’ll get to learining right away!
