I am hoping someone can help me with this.
Is there a way to enable this plugin so instead of the box where you type in the author’s names I can just have another user drop down menu under the current one where I can pick a second author for a post? Essentially, how a new post would be without this plugin enabled?
Not currently. What’s wrong with the auto-suggest?
When I enable it and I go into edit a regular contributor and add a co-author its adds Admin to everyone of his/her posts.
Interesting… We’d love more details on what your setup is like. Can you read this piece on writing bug reports and give us more information on your setup? Screenshots, the plugins you’re running, and so on would be great details.
sure I can try. A version of the plugin that would conceivably sell, would be to create one that basically adds a second box under the WP author box with a drop down menu of author’s. At least I’d buy it.
Here’s a list of plugins;

I can create a post but it works with new authors just with preexisting author’s when I go into to add a second author, admin automatically is assigned as the other author and to any of that author’s other posts.
