# [Plugin: Cimy User Extra Fields] Default Value & Permissions

 * So, I must be misunderstanding something, and have two problems with an extra
   field.
 *  I have a field that I want to never be empty or blank, and have a default value
   of 4
    When a user registers though, I dont want it shown to them – but I do want
   it to go to a default. Does CIMY not support this? i’m very frustrated. If there
   is another way to do this, I’d also be happy to do that.
 * Here’s what the settings in CIMY look like
    Name RPGPRIV Order 6 (not checked)
   VALUE 4 LABEL Priv setting/0,1,2,3,4,5 Can be empty is unchecked can only be 
   modified by admin Regular expression is /^0|1|2|3|4|5$/ I do not have user profile
   checked but it shows up in a user’s settings anyhow (….sigh) No fieldset
 * Why can I not get a default value in this darn thing?
 * Second question/problem – if WP has it set to “change by admin only” could I 
   bypass that in a custom php page because I actually want to give permision to
   alter it in different ways to different users. Any help is appriciated
